Minutes of AGM at Alloa Leisure Bowl on 10th June 2002

  

Chairman Introduction

 

§    The Chairman thanked all those who attended.

 

Treasurers Report

§      The treasurer’s report was accepted, Proposed by A. Johnston and Seconded by B McMillan.

 

Memberships, Bus Fares

 

§    It was agreed to keep the membership fee at £10, £4 for unemployed / students and Free for under 16’s. You may qualify for a discount of £2 for each new member who you introduce. As always memberships are to be paid as soon as possible.

§    We are happy to continue with Mackies of Alloa.

 

Bus fares are to be:                   Members                                  £6

                                                Non Members                          £7

                                                Unemployed / Students £3

                                                Age 11-16                               £3

                                                Age 10 and Under                    £Nil

 These fares will be reviewed at Christmas.

 The pickup points are Snooker Club-Alloa, Inn-Tullibody, Hollytree-Menstrie, Alva, Tillicoultry, and Stirling Miners Welfare.

 

Match Tickets (Away Games)

 These rules will be strictly enforced.

 §    As per last season all names for tickets will be drawn out of a hat. When the draw is made you must say if you are able to go. If you are unsure or are not on the bus when the draw is made then you have until 4 days before the game to speak to Tony Smith on 01259 210893 or email lou.smoo@virgin.net. The draw will also be posted on the Web-site www.roymilnecsc.net.

 §    If your name is on the list and you do not turn up then the club will take a £5 fine.

 §    If your name is on the list further down it is up to you to telephone / email and find out if any one has dropped out.

 §    If you do not phone /email and the club is left with the ticket you will still have to pay for your ticket.

 

Match Tickets Continued

 §    Under special circumstances the fine will be waived. The committee will decide each case.

 §    If the number of tickets is not known then everyone on the list must telephone / email as per the rules above.

 

§    There will now be a register for all cup games to make sure that the people who go to all the earlier rounds and get tickets from the club don’t miss out on any Final

 §    Home Cup Games - Members must phone to say if they can go or not as we will be given full allocation so if your ticket is not sold then you will still have to pay. Therefore it is in your own interest to telephone at least 4 weeks in advance.

Annual Dance

 

The Claremont Lodge was a good venue for this season’s dance and we should go back next year. There were no night tickets this year and we will continue this policy. If anyone can suggest other guests that we should invite please let Jules know as soon as possible and a letter will be forwarded.

 

Season Tickets

 

The following applies as per previous seasons.

§    If you are unable to attend a home game and you wish your season ticket to be used by someone else you must telephone Iain to let him know.

 §    If you wish to collect money for this ticket then the onus is on you to collect the money.

 §    Otherwise if you have not nominated someone to take your ticket then if it is sold on the bus then the money goes to the club. The cost will be £15.

 §    Similarly if ( as was previous seasons) there is a run of away games you must keep in contact with Iain to say if you can or cannot go.

§    If anyone requires extra tickets for Home Games please let Iain know at least 4 weeks in advance and they would be required to travel on the bus.


 

Any Other Business

  

§    Ideas for social outings put forward were

1.         Setting up a weekly 5 a side game

    2.         Having a Mid Season Dinner Dance

    3.         Going to Parkhead at Christmas      

4.             Having a Race Night                         

 

§    There will be new Posse Merchandise this year and when it becomes available we will also be selling on the Net. As we have had a few enquiry’s about this already

 §    As you will all be aware the Posse Web Site is up and running www.roymilnecsc.net. . We are looking for input on the site so any Posse member with ideas / old photos get in touch.

 

 Sponsorship

During the year we have made the following sponsorship contributions

1.    The Kevin Meldrum Memorial Football Match - £100. We will continue to sponsor this event every year.

 Any requests for sponsorship should be made in writing to any committee member by the 31st of March 2002 giving a small outline of the sponsorship. The requests will then be debated at our AGM.

 Any requests under £50 during the season the committee will decide.
